'Unlocking potential - building futures'

Based in Stone, Staffordshire, The Key Educational Trust serves 5 academies and is part of the wider Stone School Partnership.

Our schools vary in size from about 550 children in the largest to 81 in the smallest and cover a wide age range; Reception (age 3-4yrs) to Year 8 (age 12-13yrs). All are currently Church of England schools.

We are building a family of schools who are prepared to truly collaborate and the Trust welcomes the approach of any school, or group of schools, interested in joining the MAT, regardless of size, location or denomination if they share the desire to help all children to achieve their best.

We look to challenge our learners in a supportive, caring environment so that they develop a thirst for learning, a desire to try new things and to achieve their best.

We want our schools to be the best and for each child to discover the skills, abilities, talents and interests that lie within them.

Much is changing within the educational landscape and there is a real challenge to maintain the improvement, attainment and progress of our learners in spite of the climate of steadily diminishing finances.

By working alongside each other, The Key Educational Trust academies are better placed to face these challenges and ensure all member schools exceed expectations, providing excellent teaching and learning opportunities for all of our young people.

The Trust is committed to delivering high quality educational provision across all academies whilst encouraging our partners to reflect the individual characters and needs of local communities.

We hope this website will serve as a good overview of what we offer and leave you wanting to find out more. We can only scratch the surface of what can be achieved in partnership on this website – please contact Mr Chris Wright, CEO, if you would like to discuss opportunities informally in the first instance. We aim to be so much more than the sum of our parts to the benefit of the children in our care.

Christ Church C.E. First School

Christ Church C.E. First School is at the heart of the community it serves. Nestled in a terraced street in the town centre, Christ Church is a one-form entry school for children from Reception through to Year 4 with capacity for a 150 pupils.

We have very strong links with the local church and promote our Christian Values as we believe that children should have a sound moral foundation in order to become well-rounded citizens for the future. We are proud of our heritage - our school is in a delightful Victorian building that has been part of Stone for many, many years.

Oulton First School

Oulton C.E. First School is a popular village school set within a strong local community. We not only welcome from the village but also from surrounding areas.

Our school caters for children from three years of age in our Nursery through to learners of nine years in Year 4.

As a Church of England school, we promote Christian values, whilst also recognising, learning about and valuing other beliefs so as to support our pupils to become curious, well-rounded citizens of the future.

Our core moral purpose is encapsulated in the school’s motto:  Hand in hand learning together as we believe strongly that education is a partnership between children, parents and teachers.

St. Peter's CE Primary School

St. Peter’s Primary is a church school situated in the village of Caverswall, in rural Staffordshire, and accepts children between the ages of 4 and 11.

At St. Peter’s the life and teachings of Jesus Christ are at the heart of our school. Here pupils are valued, cared for and developed to their fullest potential; spiritually, intellectually and physically. The nurturing environment encourages and challenges the pupils to be creative, responsible, tolerant and have a love of learning to become citizens of the World who contribute to society.

Our links with St. Peter’s CofE Church are very strong and the school is an important part of the local community. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and staff work hard to provide opportunities for children to enjoy a variety of learning experiences inside and outside school.
