All pupils at the Academy have Geography for two hours fortnightly. The Geography curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity and fascination of the world and its people. Pupils will be equipped with knowledge on a variety of diverse places, people, resources and environments and the physical and human processes that affect them.
All Geography lessons are taught by specialist teaching staff with high expectations for every pupil. Pupils will develop their locational and place knowledge, understanding of human and physical geography and geographical skills and fieldwork. This will be done through classroom-based work such as map skills, case studies, witness accounts, virtual visits and guest speakers. There will also be the opportunity to participate in a range of fieldwork visits throughout pupils’ time at Christ Church Academy.
