The Cast of Thousands Project 17/06/19
The Arts Representatives headed down to Christ Church First School on Monday 17/06/19 to run ‘The Cast of Thousands’ workshops. This is part of a Stoke-on-Trent project to get children using clay. The aim is to get 40,000 figures into local museums in preparation for the ceramics festival in September. These figures will be made by local schools.
On Wednesday the Arts Representatives stayed after school to host a training session for staff and their families. All figures made will receive an individual ID stamp and will be displayed around the county. By tracking your ID code online you will be able to see where they will be displayed.
Advent Window 2018
Preparation is underway for this year’s advent window that will be displayed at Shear Genius hair salon. The opening will be on Wednesday 12th December 2018. We look forward to getting stuck into this design at art club during the autumn term.
The art club have been busy working with Lin Davies to produce a number of clay poppies to be used as part of a display at St Michael's throughout November 2018. Please email the Academy for details of how to sponsor a poppy.
